This listing is for a vintage michiyuki jacket, meant to be worn over a kimono. A square neck line, inner ties to keep the hemline straight, snap closure, and a hidden pocket on the right front panel are the specific features of a michiyuki - michi means "street" and yuki refers to "going out".

This michiyuki is reversible!  We see this rarely - two for one! One side is a soft tealy green with an angled dye pattern in lighter and darker shades.  The silk is a jacquard with a diamond floral pattern that catches the light.

Flip it inside out and the look is basic black with diagonal bands woven into the fabric.  Amazingly, snaps and covered buttons work no matter which side you're wearing.  Please note that there are no secret pockets on either side.

Note that the snaps are actually covered with fabric - a sign up very high quality.

Michiyuki are a narrow garment, fastened with snaps that will open if the fit is too tight. (The measurement we give is the jacket snapped closed, so your hips and waist measurement should be several inches smaller than the hips/waist measurement we give.)
