Description

This listing is for our Japanique Robe - a vintage Japanese kimono that we have shortened to make it easier to wear as a robe or a long tunic over western clothes.

This robe is lightweight silk - unined - and dyed with a katagami stencil in a geometric patterning that is worth a closer look. Thin bars - almost like masonry in a stone wall - are layered one upon the other, each filled with a different traditional motif. Honeycombs, diamond florals, basket weaves and more.

Great as festival or party garb, beach or poolside cover up, cruisewear...or as a comfy robe around the house or on vacation.

We modified the length to 45" and made a matching belt from the remnant.

Our Japanique Robes also look great worn open as a kimono style long jacket.
