This listing is for a vintage kimono made for a little girl. It features an overall honeycomb design, with each hexagon filled with red, turquoise, gold, white or green. And floating on top are little ningyo - imperial dolls dressed like little kids - holding or playing with traditional toys.

The kimono is padded with (likely) cotton batting - must have been made for cooler weather.

This kimono might have been made to be worn at home - Japanese homes were quite chilly in the winter so layering was critical. Perhaps this was a sleeping kimono for a little girl?

It is still quite wearable - but please check the measurements against the child to confirm the fit before ordering. Kimono run small and remember that some of the length would be taken up at the waist when belted.
