This listing is for a black silk, semi-formal, traditional Japanese haori jacket, meant to be layered on top of a kimono. These make great evening jackets for a party, exhibition, or any special event.

This haori features an elaborately designed imperial cart festooned with florals all about, and floating on a golden cloud. These carts were used to transport imperial household members, and were also used to carry dowry items with the new bride. The motif conveys prosperity and good omens.

The design appears in two places on the back on the front left panel so that the wearer can enjoy the design as much as those standing behind.
