This listing is for an oshi-e display board. Oshi-e is a traditional Japanese fabric craft that uses padding and fabric to create a three dimensional "pressed picture" with a process that resembles a jigsaw puzzle. The tradition began in the Edo Period and this handicraft is practiced less and less these days.

The design features a pair of children dressed in courtesan garb from the Edo Period. Note the headwear of the little boy and the puffy pantaloons on both of them Sweet little faces.

This board is 5"x5.5" and is matted onto a stiff foamcore so it can be stood up as a table display, and it's quite light so can also be hung with just a little tape.
