This listing is for the entire bolt of vintage Japanese obi fabric.

This bolt is, actually, a full casual obi that would have been worn with a yukata or kosode kimono. It has a stiff, sturdy weave that could be used for jacket cuffs, pillow trim, or other projects that call for a very firm fabric.

The dye work is subtle and lovely, with a light pink on one side darkening to a rich, deep shade on the other. The woven pattern includes abstract floral or grass elements reaching across the width.

The bolt is a single layer for the entire length.

14" wide and 9' long. Excellent condition.
