Description

This is a vintage kimono jacket, called a haori, made for a man. The lining of men's haori jackets often depict a scene or motif that was of special interest to the original owner. We display these haori inside out to feature the lining when it is unique. Can you wear it inside out? Sure, why not. But certainly you would want to display it inside out as a decor piece.

This haori is a smooth black silk on the outside, with three floral crests - on the back of each sleeve and at the neck. This indicates that the haori was made to be worn to a semi-formal event.

The lining of this jacket is a smooth, crisp silk woven in a plaid-grid pattern with shades of blue and gray. All of the stitching is hidden, so these jackets can normally be displayed or worn (in the West, at least) either way.

See the video below on how these traditional jackets are worn these days!
