This vintage Japanese haori jacket would have been worn on top of a vintage kimono on a chilly day.

We see a Vermont hillside in October when we look at the colors of this haori. Mottled oranges, golds, browns, and greens fill the field. And floating like a dream in are white flowers - summer's blossoms that aren't quite ready to let go!

The fiber is difficult to discern - it has a matte finish but with tiny, shimmery threads running across the width. We it could be a silk blend or it could be synthetic, but in any case it's a lovely, wearable, unique Fall fashion.

All of the stitching is hidden (since it was hand-sewn) so technically these haori jackets are reversible. Sometimes the lining is as pretty as the outer jacket!
