This vintage Japanese haori jacket would have been worn on top of a vintage kimono on a chilly day.

The design of large, abstract blossoms were elaborately woven in black and sparkle with very light pink centers. The background is a light celery green, and the fabric has a medium weight to it.

It might look like there's a discoloration on the side in the first photo but that is just a shadow from the lighting.

Haori do not cross over or tie with a sash, like a kimono does - they are meant to be worn open to reveal a bit of what is worn beneath. All of the stitching is hidden (since it was hand-sewn) so technically these haori jackets are reversible.Sometimes the lining is as pretty as the outer jacket!
