This vintage Japanese haori jacket would have been worn on top of a vintage kimono on a chilly day.

The colors are really fantasic. Deep rust, oranges, and golds really create a vista of fall foliage for us. Stylized florals float all along but there is also a woven jacquard floral in the silk as well as some textured elements - quite a lot going on here!

Basting stitches on the collar and sleeves suggest that the jacket was never worn.

All of the stitching is hidden (since it was hand-sewn) so technically these haori jackets are reversible. Sometimes the lining is as pretty as the outer jacket!
