This listing is for a vintage Japanese kimono. Green is not as common a color as you might think, which makes this soft silk beauty even more attractive.

There are layers of design in this beauty. The silk itself features a floral and "faux shibori" jacquard weave that shimmers in the right light. The design of straight stems and curling vines was created with a wax or paste resist, as suggested but the subtle crackling and softer shading on the resisted white. And then the vine pattern was covered completely with a resist as the rest of the silk was dyed that deep green.
