The fabric is a woven blend that might include silk, but it's quite sturdy. The pattern is of golden-hued bamboo against a blue background, and the weaving style creates a sort of pixelated effect, perhaps caused by thicker threads and a twisting technique. The backside of the is a rough reverse of the front, as seen in the last photo.

We modified the length to 45" and made a matching belt from the remnant. The belt is 3" wide and 90" long -- not a wide obi-like sash you'd normally see with a kimono, but very easy to put on!
