This listing is for our Japanique Robe - a vintage Japanese unlined kimono that we have shortened to make it easier to wear as a robe or a long tunic over western clothes.

The fabric is a blend - possibly with some silk - with a slightly stiff feel that would soften in a gentle wash. Southwest colors - brick, turquoise, sand, and more - in a tapestry weave that also does not shout "Japanese!" but seems to nod to traditionally European elements.

We modified the length to 45" and made a matching belt from the remnant. The belt is 3" wide and 84" long -- not a wide obi-like sash you'd normally see with a kimono, but very easy to put on!

Our Japanique Robes also look great worn open as a kimono style long jacket.
