This listing is for our Japanique Robe - a vintage Japanese unlined kimono that we have shortened to make it easier to wear as a robe or a long tunic over western clothes.

The fabric is silk with a soft drape. The light pink background is covered with samekomon ("sharkskin") pattern in a darker pink. And floating along is a series of large maples leaves, each created by a katagami stencil and shaded by brush.

We modified the length to 45" and made a matching belt from the remnant. The belt is 5" wide and 78" long -- not a wide obi-like sash you'd normally see with a kimono, but very easy to put on!

Our Japanique Robes also look great worn open as a kimono style long jacket.
