This vintage Japanese kimono jacket is a creamy silk with a dreamy drape. The silk features a slightly raised jacquard of arching leaves, where some have been brush dyed in browns or green to highlight them against their tone-on-tone neighbors. The background is the color of wheat and you'll find little woven circles here and there that shimmer in the light.

Haori do not cross over or tie with a sash, like a kimono does - they are meant to be worn open to reveal a bit of what is worn beneath.

All of the stitching is hidden (since it was hand-sewn) so technically these haori jackets are reversible. Sometimes the lining is as pretty as the outer jacket!
