Description

A modern, two-piece "quick obi", called a "tsukure obi" in Japanese, was created in Japan to make kimono-dressing faster and easier. It consists of a narrow belt portion and a wider, pre-tied taiko-style bow that fits with a clip into the obi belt.

This obi has a bright cranberry background with a design of flowers woven in shades of blue with silver accents. Yellow and pink petals float behind the main floral. A large design appears on the main bow section and a smaller version appears on the belt section.

To wear this obi properly, one might still need other accessories (i.e., the pillow (obi makura), an obiage (scarflike accessory) and the (optional) obi-ita (stiff board)). Unfortunately we do not sell these items but they can be readily found on the internet.
