This listing is for a vintage happi coat - typically worn for parades or festivals, and usually decorated with auspicious designs or kanji that refer to an event sponsor, community organization, or even the town government.

The background is a coppery brown with two angled bands of interlocking chains around the lower portion of the jacket. The large, white crest on the back is wisteria.

On the front collar is white kanji lettering that can be translated as "Shikishima Min'yō Association" - minyo refers to "folk music".

Note that the bright yellow sleeve cuffs are turned back in the backside photo - an option way to wear the jacket.
