This listing is for a "kinchaku" - a drawstring purse or pouch that was (is) traditionally used by a kimono-clad woman in Japan. They're typically made with kimono fabric and tend to be for casual, rather than formal, occasions.

This bag is features two different cotton fabrics - a solid red and a solid green - which curve in wide panels around the pouch. One red and one green cord are threaded through the fabric tabs at the top to cinch the bag closed and provide the 'handle".

Lined, excellent condition.
