This listing is for a "half underkimono" - a han juban in Japanese - which would be worn under a man's kimono. Remember, layering is quite important in kimono-wearing. There is an over-collar and a bodice in a cotton fabric. Contemporary han juban often have narrow sleeves of the same fabric as the bodice, but this one is different.

This han juban features silky sleeves with a lively printed pattern of kanji-covered banners (could be ticket stubs!) in thick kanji calligraphy against wide bands of blue and tan. In the background you'll also see many other stamps and floating roundels filled with a curled dragon.

The over-collar is black and the bodice is a cotton flannel, so this was likely intended for cooler days.

If you don't have a kimono, consider that a han juban can be worn as a light jacket, cover up or casual top for men or women. See the video below for how to wear the juban with a kimono.
