The patterning on this yukata is typical for this style of man's robe - simple lines in blue on white (though this is mostly blue) – and the fabric is quite stiff for now. No doubt it will soften up after several gentle washings.Note the hand-done basting stitches around the corners of each sleeve (see last photo) - this was done either at the tailor that sewed the item or later at home prior to storing the yukata until the following summer.
