This listing is for a traditional under kimono (called juban in Japanese) designed to be worn beneath a formal kimono. Note the very long sleeves, which suggests this would have been worn under a furisode or kakeshita kimono. Under kimono make great robes because they are shorter than the outer kimono so don't have to be folded over at the waist to raise the length.

This vintage treasure is a light pink and white shaded silk with a lightening and floral jacquard pattern. Clusters of white shibori puckered dots form a cloud-like pattern that adds texture and detail to the design. White cotton collar. 44" sleeves.

The silk is soft and luxurious to wear. Like all of our vintage kimono, an obi/belt/sash is not included but can be purchased separately as an option (see above).
