This listing is for a traditional under kimono (called juban in Japanese) designed to be worn beneath a woman's kimono. Under kimono make great robes because they are shorter than the outer kimono so don't have to be folded over at the waist to raise the length.

This vintage beauty is a true red with a design of floating chyrsanthemum blooms, each done in light pink with a pale yellow center.

The white, silk over-collar is the only part of the juban that would be visible to the public, unless the wearer decided to flirt by allowing a bit of red to peek out at the sleeve opening.

Note a small blemish shown in the last photo.

The silk is soft and luxurious to wear. Like all of our vintage kimono, an obi/belt/sash is not included but can be purchased separately as an option (see above).
