This listing is for a traditional under kimono (called juban in Japanese) designed to be worn beneath a woman's kimono. Under kimono make great robes because they are shorter than the outer kimono so don't have to be folded over at the waist to raise the length.

This vintage beauty features a red and light yellow combination in a bold shibori design that includes large diamond shapes and diamonds outlined with shibori squares.

The white, textured over-collar is the only part of the juban that would be visible to the public, unless the wearer decided to flirt by allowing a bit of red to peek out at the sleeve opening.

The silk is soft and luxurious to wear. Like all of our vintage kimono, an obi/belt/sash is not included but can be purchased separately as an option (see above).
