This is a short kimono, made for a man but likey for a performance, parade or other public event, to be worn like a kimono jacket over pants?

This is a contemporary kimono jacket for a man, likely made for a performance since white kimono are reserved for Shinto brides and deceased persons. The fabric is synthetic crepe - easy care and light weight. It is unlined. There is a stiff red undercollar sewn underneath the blue collar to suggest a layered look.

There are five crests of a partial mum and heart motif, so perhaps the crest is stylized from a temple or organization rather than refering to a family crest. But the crests are coated paper "stickers" that have been ironed on the jacket, which supports the idea that this jacket was designed for short-term wear.

This does not come with a sash but one can be purchased as an option when ordering.
