This listing is a single long sleeve taken from a vintage furisode kimono.

The motif includes a western style tower and turrets that seem like a castle to us.  In the foreground is a glimpse of an imperial cart (a gosho gurama) in red, white and black.  All around the cart wheel are large, festive, brightly dyed peonies.

On the backside is a similar scene of florals and an imperial cart. The lining is entact - white with red trim at the edges.

There is noticeable fading at the shoulder area extending downwards on front and back but mostly on the "front" side of the sleeve and extending towards the tower imagery.

The design was created with the yuzen technique - see the video below for how this is done.

Note that the 42" size measurement given as "length" is the sleeve length, so if it were taken apart to be used in a textile project, that length is actually doubled.-----
