Haori himo are the braided or woven cords that tie together at the front of a traditional haori jacket. Men's haori himo are longer, wider, and with bigger tassle ends than women's haori himo.

This listing is for a pair of man's semi-formal haori himo ties in a dark brown.  We have several of these that are similar (but not identical) colors, weaves, and sizes. (They are vintage, after all), We will choose one for you. The photos are from the collection, showing the slight color and braiding variations.  You can request a specific one when you order but we will send it if it is still available.

Men's haori usually come pre-tied, as shown. This special knot is difficult to master, so little hooks are used to attach the himo to the loops on the haori front collar without having to untie it. We don't recommend untying it.

Men's haori himo are typically 13-15 inches long and about three-quarters of an inch wide, but this can vary by a few centimeters.
