This is a dochugi style jacket, which crosses over in the kimono style (unlike the haori style which hangs open in the front). But instead of needing an obi, it closes with inner and outer ties, which can be tied loosely to allow for a more generous fit. Where haori are best for up to a size 12, dochugi can fit up to a size 16+.

A lightweight synthetic jacket with a slightly puckered texture to add extra interest. The pattern was printed, though it is meant to imitate shibori dots, and features a honeycomb grid where each cell is filled with a floral. It may appear to be brown when viewed from a distance, but it's a black background with tan and red in the patterning.

Black "frog" cording closes the jacket on the right hip.

(NB: We did flip the first photo to accommodate our logo and the close-up insert, so it may look like it was tied backwards (with the opening on the left side), but be assured it was tied correctly with the opening on the right side. We apologize for any confusion that might cause.)
