Japanique Blankets

We offer two basic sizes of blankets, each is one-of-a-kind, designed and pieced from vintage (1930-1980) Japanese kimono fabrics.

Our Couch Throws are made to keep your lap and legs warm and are big enough for a cozy shariing....

Our "Nene" blankets are crib-sized for infants and toddlers.  "Nene" comes from the Japanese word nemu (to sleep) and means "sleepytime" or "beddie-bye".

The colors, texture, and design attempts to capture the Japanese aesthetic for simple and understated beauty.The fabrics and 100% cotton batting are pre-washed and hand-pieced. 

Dimensions will vary slightly, based on the width of the panels chosen for the design. We use mostly silks, but some blankets will include synthetics and will state that in the description.
