Custom Made Kimono

This is a traditional kimono - made to your measurements so it is guaranteed to fit. A man's kimono has no openings under the armpit; women's style is open under the arm. Each comes with a same-color belt (6" wide, 9' long).
We use a 100% cotton bottom weight twill and we only keep black in stock. If you would like a cotton color other than black and are flexible on the fabric (it might be lighter weight cotton, synthetic or a cotton blend), enter the shading detail below (ex: dark navy blue, medium gray, royal purple, pine green, etc.). We will email you several color swatches to choose from. If you would like silk, see instructions below on choosing a color from silkbaron.com.
Base price is $225 but the final price will vary based on the options you choose:
OPTIONS:
-> Take $25 off the price if you send us your own fabric. Sorry, no satins, denim or heavy fabric. The fabric width must be 52" and normally we need 7 yards minimum - additional fabric required for larger or long-sleeved kimono. Email us before placing the order if you intend to send us fabric.
-> Make it silk instead of cotton for $125 more. Choose from dozens of colors at The Silk Baron by clicking on their link at the bottom of the page to visit their site. Make your color selection from their dupioni silk (52" width or wider) collection and then enter your choice in the COLOR section below. We will order the fabric.
-> Add five crests for $40 (See the Crest Choices among the photos above.) The crests are printed on fabric and fused to the garment. These are best on a black kimono because the images are white on black. We cannot modify the black color.
-> Add a white/cream lining - $150 for cotton, $250 for silk.
-> Add white trim on the collar and cuffs to simulate an underlayer for $40.
Enter your measurements below. NOTE: If you have a chest, waist, or hip measurement greater than 47" or need a length greater than 60", an additional $40 XL surcharge is required.
Allow 4 weeks (6 weeks for 2 or more garments) to be completed not including shipping time. (NOTE: If you are ordering anything other than black cotton, the four week period begins after we receive the fabric.) Rush orders can be requested based on seamstress' schedule for an additional $50 fee. Please email us or call (607) 765-3960 before placing a rush order.
