"Hugs and Kisses" Boy's Kimono

Great traditional boy's kimono in black with brown and cream accents.

The pattern is of boxes and circles, but it remindes us of  rows of "x" and "o" as in "kisses" and "hugs".

The work was done with the ikat, or fuzzy weave, technique, where the threads are resist-dyed before they are woven so that the pattern emerges on the loom.
