Natural - Kimono Bamboo Display Rod
Simple and elegant natural bamboo rod makes it easy to display your kimono or haori.
Offered in a natural color that has a smooth, glossy finish. We also have a black finish, click here for the black bamboo hanger.
The rod is 58" wide with a 49" display width.
These are real bamboo shafts, naturally thicker at one end and more narrow at the other and hollow except for the bumpy joints. Each rod is sanded smooth and sprayed with a protective clear coat lacquer, but at the narrow end you can peek in an inch or two where a small hole at the tip confirms that this is natural bamboo.
To make it easy to hang, small holes have been drilled on both ends and there is a leather strap in each hole to hang the pole from your decorative nail or hook (not included).
Please note that the rods are 58" wide but the holes are drilled 49" apart. To display a kimono or haori that is wider than 49" (most are 50-52" wide), you need only remove each leather strap from its hole, tie it in a loop, wrap the loop around the pole and scoot it towards the end of the rod. You can also replace the straps with whatever type of cording you choose, see photos for examples.
These fine pieces are custom made for us by Brazos Walking Sticks in Texas (see their link below) but are shipped from us in New York.
These rods are not available for international delivery because the length creates an oversize package, resulting in a surcharge costing more than the price of the rod
