"Honors Sake Blue" - Totebag The name we've given this bag is a rough translation of some of the kanji characters. The advertising - the same lettering on the front and back - is a sake shop. This tote is half of a double pouch sake bottle carrier - we cut the wide shoulder strap and replaced it with a lovely wooden handle set that closes with a twisting latch. (And we made the other half of the pouch into a second tote.)
The fabric is a contemporary, heavy canvas dyed indigo blue with stenciled white letters. It is a remake of an old, traditional tote for two large bottles of soy sauce or sake (called issho-bin).
Sturdy and trendy - a great break from backpacks and grocery totes!
