"Formal Crested" Man's Kimono We made a bulk purchase of these formal men's kimonos. Each features a different family crest in five locations, indicating the kimono is for a formal occasion. The sizing varies slightly, but will be within the range given below. Typically, they will easily fit a small or medium-build man, but are likely to be short (but still wearable as a robe or under hakama pants) on anyone over 5'8" tall. |

"His Master's Voice" Man's Kimono An unsual piece to add to the collector who has everything else. We can't even guess the year becaue this kimono is in excellent condition except for a few small spots on the plainer sleeve. The hallmark is a large medallion with the RCA dog with his nose in the speaker of the old photograph. The image is not matched up across the shoulder seam but could be fixed if need be. A fun and rare find. |

"Love the Ponies" Man's UnderKimono These underkimonos were designed specifically for their original owner, and in this case he must have loved horses and western riding. This unusual patterning features cream colored arched bands where several riders - all wearing striped caps and vests - seem to chase one another around the kimono. Quite a collector's item. In great shape - quite wearable - but would certainly add flavor to any kimono collection. |

"Palaquin At Rest" Man's Kimono A thought-provoking scene continues from back to front on this man's underkimono. Paper lanterns with kanji characters - perhaps they light the way for patrons to enter. On the back we see a palaquin sitting abandoned, it's carriers and perhaps its owner having gone inside. No doubt a beautiful story is being told to those who can decypher the clues. |

"Poetry In Motion" Man's Underkimono This man's underkimono is longer than the more vintage one, suggesting this is from the 1970's rather than earlier. It is also a synthetic, not silk, yet it is painted and decorated with a fine hand. Thatched roofs, tall trees, and gold detail, as well as a poem, or perhaps a story, written in kanji characters on the left shoulder. Contrasting blue collar. Additional scenery at the hem. |

"Winter Market" Man's Underkimono It's small, but quite striking - better for display unless the wearer has a small frame. A stylized mountain design stretches across the shoulders and snow-covered pines cross the panls at the lower front. On the lower back are hand drawn figures of country maidens heading to market - each quite detailed, from their faces to their kimono to the bundles on their heads. |
