This is a traditional haori jacket made to your measurements. Men's haori have no openings under the armpit; women's style is open under the arm. (Only the men's version is shown in these photos.)

Obi are not worn with haori jackets so are not included. Your haori will have tiny loops at the front inside collar to accommodate himo (ties) but will not include himo. We sometimes do get vintage men's himo but the color choices are limited to browns, dark blues and cream - email us if you'd like us to include a pair for $20.

We use a 100% cotton bottom weight twill and we only keep black in stock. If you would like silk, see instructions below on choosing a color from silkbaron.com. If you would like a cotton color other than black and are flexible on the fabric (it might be lighter weight cotton, synthetic or a cotton blend), enter the shading detail below (ex: dark navy blue, medium gray, royal purple, pine green, etc.).

Base price is $150 but final price will vary depending on the options you choose:

OPTIONS:
-> Take $25 off the price if you send us your own fabric. (Email us before placing the order if you intend to send us fabric. Sorry, no satins, denim or heavy fabric. Width must be 45" (54" preferred), 5 yards minimum - additional fabric requried for larger or long-sleeved haori.)

-> Make it silk instead of cotton for $75 more. Choose from dozens of colors at The Silk Baron by clicking on their link at the bottom of the page to visit their site. Make your color selection from their dupioni silk (45 or 54") collection and enter your choice in the SILK section below. We will order the fabric.

-> Add five stenciled crests for $40 (See the Crest Choices among the photos above.) These are best done on a black kimono - we cannot guarantee the color match on other fabrics. The crests are printed on fabric and fused to the fabric.

-> Add a white/cream lining - $125 for cotton, $175 for silk, or $100 for your own fabric (5 yds needed)

Allow 4 weeks (6 weeks for 2 or more garments) to be completed not including shipping time. (NOTE: If you are sending fabric or ordering silk, the four week period begins after we receive the fabric.) Rush orders can be requested based on seamstress' schedule for an additional $50 fee.
