Simple and elegant natural bamboo rod makes it easy to display your kimono or haori. Offered in natural color bamboo and a black stain, each has a smooth, glossy finish. The rod is 58" wide with a 49" display width. These are real bamboo shafts, naturally thicker at one end and more narrow at the other and hollow except for the bumpy joints. Each rod is sanded smooth and sprayed with a protective clear coat lacquer, but at the narrow end you can peek in an inch or two where a small hole at the tip confirms that this is natural bamboo. Please note that the rods are 58" wide but the holes are drilled 49" apart. To display a kimono or haori that is wider than 49" (most are 50-52" wide), you need only remove each leather strap from its hole, tie it in a loop, and scoot each loop towards the end of the rod. If you prefer a haori himo (these are the japanese jacket ties pictured as red or orange cords in the photos) instead of the leather strap, let us know in the NOTES section of the order form, along with a color preference. These work well if you only need 48" of display space. These fine pieces are custom made for us by Brazos Walking Sticks in Texas (see their link below) but are shipped from us in New York. The price includes US shipping. See Also
