Crest and Kanji Scrolls

Each scroll features either a Japanese family crest or a Japanese written (kanji) character. These patterns were designed for hand or machine applique (instructions for both are included) and with the Japanese focus on detail in mind: two scrolls can be made from just two complimentary kimono sleeves! The white background to each design is the lining fabric, which is often plain or a jacquard design. The backside of the finished piece is your plain muslin or cotton backing, with a dowell casing at the top for easy hanging. Each pattern is available separately, or combine it with one of our sleeve sets and make duplicate or coordinated pairs! Pattern names are, from left to right above: diamond flower, 3 Commas, 2 Commas, Dragon, Cranes, Fan, and Family.
