and floral beauty with strong bands of red bordering a deep teal
floral inside overlaping circles.
Each floral is outlined in red, too! A one yard stretch of
plain teal on the belt

another dramatic element to the obi when it is displayed. A small
slight blemish on
the belt portion, basting entact in some places. |

"Sparrows and Stripes

Unusual black background on this obi that
features a repeated woven pattern
of birds (one is a sparrow, the other seem to be a pheonix) among
the stylized clouds
with pink blossoms (pink is the flower name, not the color,
named for their pinked petal edges!). Backside
of the obi is satin with bands of teal green and black. |

"Mysterious" Nagoya

We hesitate to try and identify
this floral but no doubt someone will be familiar with it. A
pine cone style seed
pod in a tulip shape, enveloped by long leaves...a conversation
piece at least! A soft silk with a stiff lining, and the image
appears only at the wide
bow section and on both sides of the center belt
section. Wild color scheme - dark reddish orange on a pale crayon
orange. Some slight blemishing,
but still quite wearable. |
