"Buddhist Imagery" Man's Underkimono- $89

This silk underkimono (called a nagajuban - note the shorter length) is meant to be worn beneath a formal kimono with only the black collar showing. The design depicts a collage of traditional buddhist images, such as the darma wheel, prayer scrolls and flaming eye, as well as a boat. Nice mix of earthtones with some attractive accent colors.

"Kimono Fan " Man's Kimono - $140

It's unusual to find a man's kimono with a non-geometric patterning! Folding fans in brown and black are scattered along the white silk background. An unlined kimono, it's almost semi-sheer, but generously cut and so comfy to wear!

"Mosaic" Man's Underkimono - $75

Sturdy, casual man's kimono - it was an underkimono but works well as a robe. Lots of blue tones with a coppery brown accent colors. In each fractured piece of the design you see a winter scene, some with figures, others with landscapes. Unlined and of a synthetic blend fabric, with a contrasting blue collar.

"Work of Art " Man's Underkimono- $189
ITEM NUMBER: 1107MK14
Wonderful hand drawn masterpiece - surprisingly it is unsigned. The landscape flows from sleeve to sleeve across both the back and front, with a lake or river, boat, bridge, and pagoda on a hill. Although it is quite wearable, it is an artpiece. Amazingly, this is an underkimono, meant to be hidden beneath a formal black kimono, where only the white collar would show. Rough woven silk - a raw silk texture.

Men's Formal Kimono

We made a bulk purchase of these formal men's kimonos. Each features a different family crest in five locations, indicating the kimono is for a formal occasion. The sizing varies slightly, but will be within the range given below. Typically, they will easily fit a small or medium-build man, but are likely to be short (but still wearable as a robe or under hakama pants) on anyone over 5'8" tall.

Great for around the house, this style of kimono is used at Japanese resorts or are worn at home after a bath. Features a gauze lining, side pocket, and made from soft cotton available in many patterns, each with a same-fabric attached ties for easy wear - no obi needed!! These are NEW, not vintage. Ships from Kyoto to you in 7-10 days. Cotton, fine for small to medium build. Not all patterns available in both sizes
L-sized is best for 5'7"-5'9.5" ($52) and LL size is best for 5'10"-6' ($54)
