Plain and simple black silk kimono with five family crests - one at the neck, on the back of each sleeve and on either side of the front collar. These black kimono with no patterning -- no jacquard, no design at all except for the crests --are called mufuku, originally made as mourning kimonos and to this day still worn for funeral services with a black obi. Sizes vary slightly but will fit sizes 4-12 depending on how much of an overlap you're comfortable with at the waist/hips. Please compare your measurements to those given below and note that our measurement is from edge to edge, and includes any overlapping. Extra length would be taken up under the belt at the waist. Crests also vary, examples are given below. Unlined versions of this kimono may be available - email us if you prefer an unlined one.
