"Kasuri Indigo" Futon Cover Top
Adelightful example of Japanese counryide textile. This is the top of a futon cover - the backing has been removed. Deep indigo blue and white pattern of crosshatches created wtih the kasuri weaving technique, where the threads are bound together and resit-dyed before being woven, such that the pattern appears on the loom. There is a piece of solid blue patched in the center, and this is part of the design of a futon cover top often found in these types of items. ______________________________ ength=78" Width=62" Condition: Very good but with some small holes, see photos |
