"Bird of Paradise" Wedding Kimono (Kakeshita)
The design is of florals and birds of paradise ("Oo" in Japanese), a mythical bird with trailing tail feathers and a short beak. Other textured images include pine boughs, mums, oak leaves, bush clover, braided tassels, and more. This is a shiromuku uchikake - the heavier outer wedding kimono worn over a kakeshita for a Shinto ceremony and for formal wedding portraits. One small blemish on the hem padding, otherwise excellent condition. Length=70" Hips=44" Wrist-to-Wrist=52" Excellent condition |
