"Baby Bamboo" Woman's Shibori Haori

A lady's sweet, soft, silk jacket in a pretty shade of pink.

The arched bamboo trunks are a bit unusual - bamboo is more often depicted as straight and study.  

And in front of the wide bamboo stalk is a young bamboo shoot, thin and leafy and just beginning its journey.  

Look closely to see the floral jacquard in the silk beneath the shibori.

Shibori is the traditional Japanese tie-dye technique, and you'll see that each of these tiny dots were tied by hand to create the pattern.
