"Kaneko Shibori" Woman's Haori

Very understated color and design to this traditional silk jacket.

The fabric is completely covered with tiny kaneko ("fawn spot") shibori dots - a technique that is associated with Kyoto artisans.

Shibori is a hand-sewn tie-dye technique and in this case, the entire bolt of white silk was bound with small stitches and then dyed many times to create the color variation between the dots.

Many shades pink, accented with orange and green.
