"Chickadee" Girls Kimono

A great collector's piece - maybe more appropriate for the wall than for a child to wear.

Delightful large cross and medallion double ikat weave on the outer fabric - deep Japanese Red with other accent colors.  

Some mottling and signs of age here and there but still in great condition considering it is probably from the 1950's or earlier.

We love the lining, though - sweet desing of a family of chickens - Rooster Papa, Mama Hen, and three little chickies who seem to be squabbling over the feed.  Precious!
