"Hidden Carts" Wedding Kimono (Uchikake)

Look carefully and you'll also find partially hidden "treasure carts", which were actually dowry carts that followed the bride to her new home.
Lots of gold along with a rainbow of accent colors against a bright "Japanese Red". The flash photos don't really do the kimono justice!
Heavily padded red hem. This is an uchikake - meant to be worn on top of another kimono, not meant to be tied with an obi but rather draped open, mostly for picture taking. These also make elegant displays.
