Vintage Japanese Kimono, Obi, Fabric

Striking scene of travellers crossing an arched bridge in a mountain village.

Note the hillside in the foreground with trees silhouetted and cascading into the distance.

The design is signed on the left but it seems to us to be a synthetic fabric with the design printed, not painted.

This is an underkimono - meant to be layered beneath an outer kimono such that only a bit of the collar shows. The blue collar would actually be covered by a white silk (for a formal occasion) or another color for a less formal occasion.
