Gathered cotton tassles on two corners. All hand done sashiko on four panels that are stitched together. Some patchwork on the backside. Some fading, too, but still quite a collector's item. A furoshiki is a wrapping cloth, traditionally used to carry or store personal items. Like most, it is a single layer, unlined. Sashiko is a hand stitching method associated with country textiles in Japan. Technique: Sashiko. Colors: Indigo.
