This is one of those Japanese red colors that is so challenging to capture with a camera.

Yes, there's a lot of orange in the red but the overall effect is red.  

No patterning other than the jacquard weave that has a little swirling hills texture to it.  You can see this in one of the photos modified to show the texture.

Michiyuki are worn atop a kimono, with the kimono collar showing at the neck.  "Michi" means "street" and "yuki" relates to "going out".
